I have just finished writing an article about cheap blinds on the blog, it discusses the ideas of customer requiring cheap blinds and how it can be more hassle than letting someone professional like ourselves and remove the stress and strain of saving a few pence.

It discusess the DIY method and buying blind off the internet and the positives and pitfalls

Bradrail awnings and blinds in Nottingham still provides the personal touch and can assist in the DIY blind for a customer but it is our made to measure blind installation service which provides the customer with the best information and a far wider choice compared to an online site and the ability to actually feel and see the true colour of fabrics and finshes and have someone to be able to question and ask to suggest ideas to bring it in to your budget.

There are many awnings and blinds companies in Nottingham, but I have to say that Bradrail its still one of the oldest now in 2009 they are operating with 40 years experience even though officially it is longer since the proprietor originally trading as "pick a rail" for years installing rails for the construction industry and then rails and curtains to local home owners before the explosion of blinds and then awnings. Now Bradrail Awnings and Blinds Nottingham [Bulwell UK]

With Bradrail experience the original goal was to install quality products, as the from the beginning it makes for happier customers. This is proven by having customers coming in 27 years later saying there blinds are still working... make a big difference in this throw away society.

Bradrail knows there are lots of ways of cutting corners, making things cheaper to fit a customers price as people come in and tell us their horror stories when the cheaper products fail in reliability or the original companies who installed them customer service...usually just after the warranty.. inst that just typical.

40 years of trading and dealing with blinds and awnings has allowed a total of 300 plus combined experienced and knowledge in making and manufacturing blinds and awnings and proving a professional installation service through Nottingham and Mansfield and the surrounding Nottinghamshire areas.

Ok things like the website are not the most modern @ http://www.bradrail.co.uk but we are working at that

Our SEO work carries on to get us back to No 1 in google with the keywords blinds nottingham but it takes a lot.

Anyway as we carry on we look forward to another 40 years of quality stylish and reliable products with the personal touch taking the hastle and giving our customer satisfaction

Well after a slow start, and finally a bit of some sun in Nottingham we been having people ring us about awnings. Bradrail Blinds and Awnings in Nottingham usually is a lot busier with awnings if the sun comes out and bastes us with all its glory... rather than the usuall grey cloud.

We recently did a really nice conservatory awning ... instead of awning come off brackets and suspended in the air, this fits on to of the frame work of the conservatory.

Look really nice even though it was really hard to do, since access to get the awning up on to the top of the conservatory was a mamoth task .. but it was soon all fixed in ... (also a bit scary since the conversatory is solid glass ceiling ...so extra care was required

Will do some picture of soon of the how it went together which will show you the scale of the job... but we all learnt something.

Glad we tend to install Weinor German awnings though, the build quaility is awesome ( i like to call them the rolls royce of awnings) and wouldnt want to be doing that 6m length awning with a cheap and chearfull alternative...

anyway a bit more later.

Well here the ends the bank holiday .. and spending time looking to develope the website at trying to get a learn more about seo ...

The problem i find is there is so much SEO information out there to read and some contradicts the other..

Currently i think most of the optimisation is due to page ranks with the companies.. but it can be a hit and miss affair..

We spent a load of cash with a company which had a high page rank and google likes but a local competitor who pays a basic listing but has a common directory name like "A1" or "Elite" which a lot of companies uses it increase his page rank ... which we paid for his no 1 position in google in a way..

What a bummer.. so we have cut that down .. but its knowing what else a humble ICT person can do..

There is a local SEO company which has been recommended .. but its how do you know if they are any good that want £850 and i know that no one can g/tee results but need to create traffic which I know I have done my fair bit since i been talking the result of the website http://www.bradrail.co.uk/ from about 10-15 a week to about 100 .. i know the site needs a lot of work ..
since each section is pretty bare and doesnt give the customer any idea of price.. just a general description of information like vertical blinds, roller blinds, venetian blinds, awnings

I have tried to tweak the keywords in meta tags and also try and do different descriptions but i hear more about less about keywords and more of keyword density.. do i get rid of the keywords.. ???

Half of it is having people within the company right good content but what is good content, and how should i appease google and other seo with things to help its ranking

I am interested in any comments people who could assist or advise with

Anyway back to the grind stone more later...
